Leaving Certificate Class 2015

Today was the last day of class for these Leaving Certificate ladies, who will be due to sit their Home Economics exam on the 3/6/2015. 
Wishing them the very best of luck from the Home Economics Department.

The second year home economics students selected their dishes at random as per previous junior certificate examinations and displayed great talent!! This is perfect practice for their Junior Certificate exam, as the cookery exam is worth 35%!

On Friday 20th of March, the 2nd year group baked a variety of muffins and using their sensory analysis of taste, they selected their favourite.

A beginners 1st year craft workshop is planned for the 11th of December from 3.45-5.15, there are only 20 spaces i.e. first come first served, a poster will be on Miss Sheanon's door room 20 to sign up on Monday 1st of December. You will need the equipment mentioned below by the 11th of December.

All beginners welcome


What you will need:


1.    Embroidery needle/crewel needle

2.   Embroidery Thread in the colours that you are choosing (see picture)

3.   Felt Fabric in the colours you are choosing (see picture)

4.   Scissors

5.   Optional extras: Buttons, Beads, Ribbons

ALL IRELAND CEIST BAKE OFF 28/11/14

Who can apply: Any student of Eureka School.
What do I have to do: You need to bake and design a cake with the theme of "talents" within 3 hours, using one Odlums ingredient and present a picture of your idea to either Ms Sheanon or Ms Conaty. (See terms below for more information)
Why should I apply: 1st prize is €150 2 runner up prizes of €75 and 4 remaining contestants will receive a surprise. It also allows you to take on a new challenge, practice your skills at baking decorating, sense of achievement in completing the task, possibility of making cakes for other occasions, looks great on a C.V.
