BSc in Data Science in DCU
Dublin City University BSc in Data Science is a NEW unique programme focused on that combination of programming, mathematics and communication that creates valuable insight & professional expertise.
The Degree has been developed in close collaboration between the university, global centres of research excellence (INSIGHT, ADAPT), and major industry players. Students will learn theory in mathematics, statistics, programming, cloud technologies and machine learning. They will then apply that theory to industrially- and socially- relevant scenarios using real-world data, and learn to communicate the results. The Qualification is very marketable, with global demand across numerous sectors, employed at high levels in commercial and other organisations. Career Skills Competition 2016
Amy Hogan was placed 'highly commended' in a career skills competition through the careersportal.ie website. She completed a written report which promoted career skills she developed in her work placement. The National Career Skills competition promotes an awareness and development of career skills among second level students throughout the country. There were 1500 entries in total and 47 finalists were shortlisted. Her category included LCVP students and LCE (Leaving Cert Established) students. She will be presented by the Minister for Skills, Research and Innovation from the Department of Education & Skills and Mr Damien English in the Department of Education & Skills on Tuesday 10th May. She will receive an engraved shield as her award. This is an outstanding achievement and the first career skills competition winner from Eureka. Teacher: Ms Flanagan
