Speed READathon 2013

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.”
                                                  Richard Steele
On Thursday 7th March the 16th World Book Day in Ireland will be celebrated. The main aim is to encourage children to explore the pleasure of books and reading by providing them with an opportunity
to have a book of their own. The Eureka English Department have organised a Programme of Events for the Week in an attempt to promote Literacy in our school.

Book Review Competition 2013

Congratulations and well done to Rebecca Beirne 5th year who won the Greater London Book Review Competition for her review of "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. She was the only winner from Ireland and there were participants from all the British Isles. Teacher: Ms McKenna
